I started a new job and love it!

Sorry for no recent updates, ive started a new job and I went out and got tales of symphonia for the gamecube. Figured I would try this!

NGP or 3DS?

With both Sony, and Nintendo both coming out with new systems a lot of you are probably asking yourselves which one deserves your money. Both systems look promising and I will try and gather some information about both systems in the future. Ill have a poll up. Feel free to vote!

Assassins Creed II Review coming soon!

Here over the next few days, im going to try and get a review in for Ubisofts masterpiece, Assassins creed II. From the breathtaking visuals, to the rooftop chases, this game pushes your system to the max!

Dragon Age: Origins Review

Are you looking for an massive world filled with conversation that actually lets you feel like your character is more then a puppet? Are you wanting an RPG Filled with talent trees, skills, and abilitys that lets you play your character the way you want? Read further, I may just have the answer that you are looking for.

Dragon age: Origins is a game filled with dialogue, moral choices, talent trees, skills, and plenty of dungeon crawling to keep you up till all hours of the night. From a previous full time raider of World of Warcraft, this game was my savior. The two games have a lot of similarity's, and a lot of differences.

Gameplay
The gameplay can really vary depending on the type of class that you choose. And it is very similiar to Final fantasy, and KotOR. For melee, your skills, and abilitys are all done by you. Attacking though is done automatically. At first it was a slight turnoff for me but the game more then makes up for it with the amount of abilitys and skills you gain. For ranged though its a completely different game. Since mages do not need to queue up any form of melee attacks, you can spam the mage spells you want to use. Playing a mage in this game is particularly deadly. You can create some insane AOE and wipe out entire groups of enemy's. And if you use your tactics right, you and your partner can create combos such as Storm of the Century.

You can have up to three other members in your party at any given time. They are controlled by the system but you can affect what they do through tactics. Bioware has done an amazing job at creating such a smart party combat system. You can even pause the game via the radial menu and control each member individually.

The story
This game currently has the most immersive story I have played to date. In origins you can talk to any party member and talk about a very broad spectrum of topics, every single topic is filled with information about the land, your character, opinions, etc. The way that you answer these questions can determine how your party members view you. The more your party members like you, the better stat bonuses they can gain. Throughout the game you can come across codex pages which fill you in on the area you in, history, and lore. All of which is actually interesting. If you are a sucker for a good video game story, this is your game.

Audio
Top notch. I haven't looked into who their voice actors were, but its obvious they care about the emotion and way the words of the characters come across. This game has alot going for it, and Bioware has really put alot of time and effort into the way the characters of the story come across.

Replayability
Let me start off by letting you know that i have about 7 different characters with at least 50-60 hours each on them. With my main file reaching near 140 hours (god i love the rogue class in this game). There are subclasses in this game you can earn from playing through. There are six origins to choose from, and they determine the first 2-3 hours of your story, along with choosing how characters throughout the game view you, and respond to you.

Another big factor is the massive amount of DLC this game has. If you buy the ultimate edition, you will get Dragon Age: Origins, Dragone Age: Awakening(the expansion), and all of the DLC to this day that is out for the game. Some of which has some of the best gear in the game. Alot of your choices from Origins will carry over to Awakening. And when Dragon Age II comes out, your save file will still be worth something because all choices will carry over.

Conclusion
Final word, if you like action RPG's then this game will be one of the best video game investments you could possibly make. It can easily last a casual gamer several months assuming you don't breeze through the game, and you actually explore.

And get the Ultimate Edition, It contains Dragon Age: Origins, Dragon age: Origins - Awakening, The Stone Prisoner, Warden's Keep, Return to Ostagar, The darkspawn Chronicles, Leliana's Song, The golems of Amgarrak, Witch hunt, Feastday Gifts, Feastday Pranks.

Snow, gaming, and sleep.

Ah the snow. The wonderful white blanket that covers our city streets, driveways, and best of all our neighborhood's. I am going on day three of being stuck at my house (can you say cabin fever?). You see, I live in a culdesac, and my car can not get out. Which leaves plenty of time for writing some reviews during my extended stay home.
